Junior Celebration Evening!

Junior Celebration Evening!

Toby Ward11 Oct 2024 - 11:31

Great evening for our juniors and parents!

As the season came to a close, we all got together at the club to host our annual junior cricket celebration evening.

It was a fantastic night, hosted by our junior chairman, James. The purpose of the night was to share great memories from the junior cricket season, recognise our invaluable volunteers as well as highlight some collective and individual moments.

In addition, it was a great opportunity to get together for a bit of food and a chat before the winter nights close in. Whilst we now have a range of opportunities throughout the winter, including autumn courses, fitness sessions and Indoor training from January, it will be the last time we’ll see a few faces until next year and it was great to see such a big turnout!

There were a number of fantastic performances both individually and collectively this year. The section as a whole is thriving and we have taken great pleasure at seeing some of our youngsters work their way through our pathway all the way from All Stars age to senior cricket. We had a huge level of participation across the age groups, as well as a newly formed girls u11 and u13 squad and some superb team performances from across the board, including our under 15s winning the league and our under 19 making the plate final in the final weeks of September.

We are so grateful for all the hard work our volunteers managers put in, both through winter training and during the season itself. Without you, none of this would be possible. It was great to share the stage with them as they recounted some of the great stories from the season, along with some great photos and videos.

One of the key messages from the evening was that our pathway takes our players from reception age right the way through to 1st team level in the Cheshire Premier League. We are working towards offering Cricket and related activities throughout a 12 months program as well as looking to provide an environment where youngsters can both develop their skills and be part of a fun community where positive relationships and friendships can grow.

We hope everyone enjoyed the night and there are a few photos attached.
